There are some stubborn dog breeds who might just test the limits of your patience while you're trying to train them. And it's not because these specific dog breeds are slow or obtuse. Nope In fact, quite the contrary these dog breeds are highly intelligent.
If you are naming a Husky, you came to the right place to get some great ideas!
Here are some factors to consider when shopping for the perfect Husky toy:
Engaging: Look for a toy that will keep your pup’s attention for more than just a few minutes. You might consider a puzzle toy with changeable levels of difficulty to keep things interesting and to challenge your pooch’s intellect. .
Long-Lasting: Durability is a must when it comes to Huskies—they love to tear toys apart, even more than your average pup. You’ll want to find a toy made of sturdy material to last for many hours of fun.
Safe: Always read reviews to make sure that your pooch’s toys are going to be safe. If he likes to destroy stuffed toys, make sure to confiscate those squeakers, as you don’t want your dog ingesting plastic or choking.
Fun: Your pooch should enjoy playtime, so keep his favorite activities in mind when you go toy shopping. Then again, while you can always pick a toy that will draw on favorites like fetch, it never hurts to try something new!
Tips on how to groom your husky puppy:

- On the flip side, don’t bathe your husky too often. A husky’s coat is
mostly self-regulating, so let their natural oils take care of their fur.
Washing their fur too often with harsh chemicals can expose the hairs to
damage and even introduce skin problems.
- Bathing often will also help your mucky pup acclimatize to the process,
just like brushing. Some dogs love bathing, but many others might need a
lot of reassurance to convince them it’s for their own good.
Don’t Punish Shedding:
- We all let out some words of frustration every now and then. But have you
considered what happens when your dog is there to hear it?
Dogs have a complicated relationship with crime and punishment. They
can’t understand our bizarre human preferences, so often they can’t
understand what they’ve done to make you angry.
- There’s no way your husky will comprehend the link between shed hair and your frustration.
Shedding isn’t a correctable behavior, so don’t punish your husky for it,even unintentionally. Avoid shaming your dog even as a joke or an emotional outlet. What might seem harmless to you will mean distress for
your dog.
- Instead, remain patient and adapt your own routine to compensate for the shedding season. By taking on a dog, you’ve also signed a contract to provide appropriate care even when that means putting in the extra work.
Things you’ll need to do when you get a new dog:
- When you get any dog, you will need things like dog food, water and food bowls, grooming tools, a collar, a leash, etc. However, Siberian Huskies come with a few extra requirements.
Take these things into consideration when getting a husky:
- You will need lint rollers (lots and lots), a 6-foot fence in your yard(any smaller and your husky will climb it), dig protection around your fence (they will dig out when you are not looking), high value treats
(Huskies are stubborn, they need extra encouragement to get them to listen), and a very good vacuum to help with all the fur that is going to take over your house and car, and clothes, and work, and life.
Personality:
All dogs have an individual personality. However, different breeds do have different temperaments and breed standards. Huskies tend to have pretty big personalities. Some common traits of huskies are that they are high energy, stubborn, extremely smart, friendly, noisy, and pack oriented.
However, I believe that the Siberian Husky personality is best captured in the words of the owners.
Best Brush for Huskies:
1)Coastal Pet Safari Undercoat Rake;
- Incredibly efficient at removing ?shedding hair. Every groomer I know(including me) has one of these in their shop.
2)And is Steel Greyhound Comb;
- A long-pin steel comb is a perfect (and inexpensive) tool for removing
deep hair that an undercoat rake can't reach. We recommend using this
comb in combination with the undercoat rake.
3)SHELANDY 3.2 HP Pet Dryer;
- By blowing out your dog's coat you'll release a shocking amount of loose hair,and you can live a shed-free life for weeks afterwards.
4)FURminator DeShedding Ultra Conditioner;
- This will take care of that final 20% of shedding that never seems to go away and you'll notice a difference for about 10 days afterwards.
Food for husky dogs:
Commercial dog food has lots of grains, even when they claim they don't,and huskies need protein. I have always cooked for mine,chicken,beef, pork, salmon, tuna, sardines, etc...cottage cheese, sweet potatoes(skins are bad for them), rice, fruit, eggs, yogurt, ice cream (vanilla).
I give ours wet for at night. Then i keep a bowl of dry food out so if she's hungry in morning she could have that. Then if she eats all her dinner she gets a little cottage cheese or plain yogurt or peanut butter. Yeah our dogs spoiled
